Orders & quotation terms
These terms describe how quotation requests work at Arc Hardware. They are sample terms for a demonstration storefront.
Cart checkout and payment
Checkout accepts available products with fixed prices. The server checks current prices and quantities and shows tax, delivery and the total before you place your order. If prices change, review the new total before submitting again.
Choose free store pickup with payment on collection, or delivery with cash on delivery. The delivery charge is displayed at checkout. No card details or online payment are collected. Orders are recorded as unpaid and await store confirmation; stock is not automatically reserved. Contact the store using your order reference to request a change or cancellation before fulfilment.
In demo mode, checkout records a sample order only. No real purchase, payment or delivery takes place.
An enquiry is not an order
Sending a quote list creates an enquiry. It does not create an order, take payment, reserve stock or guarantee delivery. The store confirms prices, units and availability, then sends a quotation manually.
Prices and units
- Listed prices are indicative and shown per selling unit — a bag, tin, piece, pack, length, metre, kilogram or tonne, as stated on the product.
- Prices exclude applicable taxes unless stated. Final price and availability are confirmed by the store.
- Where a price is shown as on request, the store quotes it after checking the item and quantity.
- Quantities must follow the stated minimum and step for each item.
Delivery
Delivery is quoted separately once we know the site address and quantity. Store pickup is available during opening hours.
Delivery is not included in indicative product prices. A quotation states any delivery charge separately, and pickup is available during opening hours unless the store says otherwise.
Quotation validity and acceptance
A quotation states its own expiry date and terms. The store records when and how it was communicated to you. Quotations are versioned: if the request changes, the store issues a new version rather than editing an old one. Acceptance and payment are handled outside this website in the first release.
Availability
Availability shown on product pages is indicative and manually maintained. Items marked “check availability” can be requested, and the store will confirm. No stock is held while an enquiry is open.
Changes to a request
If a product, price or quantity rule changes before you submit, the quote list asks you to correct or remove the affected line. Items are never substituted silently.
