Privacy and data use

This page explains what Arc Hardware collects when you send a quotation request, why it is needed and how long it is kept.

What the enquiry form collects

• Your name and phone number, and an email address if you choose to add one.
• The pickup or delivery address you type for a delivery quotation.
• The products, quantities and materials list you include.
• Any notes you add, and the time the enquiry was sent.

Contact details are collected only so the store can check the requested items and reply with a quotation. They are not used for marketing, and this form does not add you to a newsletter.

Checkout orders

Checkout records your name, phone, optional email, delivery address when applicable, purchased items, prices, payment method and order status. These details allow store staff to confirm and fulfil your order. Receipts are restricted to the browser session that placed the order and authorised store staff. No card details are collected. Completed or cancelled order contact details are anonymised after 180 days by the retention job.

Your browser cart and quote list

Products you add are stored in this browser for seven days so you can return to the list. Only product references and quantities are stored — never your name, phone number or address. Clearing site data removes the list immediately.

How long enquiry details are kept

Demo enquiries are synthetic and are removed with the sandbox. In a live deployment, closed or cancelled enquiry contact details are anonymised after 180 days.

In this demonstration, enquiries are synthetic and belong to a temporary sandbox. The sandbox expires 24 hours after it is created, and scoped records and uploaded images are removed within 48 hours. Shared sample images are reused read-only.

Who can see an enquiry

A receipt is visible only in the browser session that submitted it. Store staff with the right role can see enquiries in their own store scope. Internal notes and other staff activity are never returned on public endpoints. Enquiry references are not a password: knowing a reference alone does not let anyone read the enquiry.

Payments and third parties

No payment is collected on this site, and no card details are requested. If you choose to continue an enquiry on WhatsApp, your own WhatsApp app opens with a prepared message that you review and send; the store does not send messages automatically.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of your enquiry details or for them to be deleted by contacting the store. Aggregate counts without contact details may be kept for reporting.
